Jacqui's mother, Lilian, had since 1977 been the Post-Mistress in Tysoe, an attractive village on the edge of the Cotswolds. She worked hard to keep the Post Office open at a time when many villages were losing important local postal services.
Jacqui hopes that her work demonstrates that flowers do not have to be flown in from overseas to create vibrant, eye-catching or evocative arrangements using eco methods and natural materials. Using this approach she hopes to reduce the environmental impact of flower arranging, along with reducing the chemicals used.
Jacqui speaks regularly at events on floristry, the natural environment, and how sustainable floristry is a key theme for independent florists.
